Due to growing concerns about COVID-19, and in an attempt to keep our midwives healthy and available to you, we have instituted temporary policies and are moving as many of our appointments and consultations to TeleHealth Communications as possible. These virtual appointments will take place via Zoom, a free app you can download at zoom.us. We recommend using your smartphone for easy access. Please only use the meeting ID below if you already have an appointment or consultation scheduled with us and only at the time of your appointment.

Wellspring Birth Center is welcoming late transfers that are low-risk and committed to natural birth in a birth center. In order to be considered for transfer of care, please follow these steps:
1. Call our office at 832-777-0291 to schedule a virtual consultation.
If you call outside of office hours, please leave a message with your name (including spelling), phone number and email address (including spelling). Our office administrator will call you to schedule the consultation as well as email you the information you need to complete your consultation.
2. Download our medical record request to have your records sent from your current provider to our office.
Simply fill it out, sign it, and send it to your provider. They should send your records directly to us. Alternatively, you can request they send your records directly to you and you can provide them to us after you have decided you want to transfer care, given we determine you are a good candidate for the birth center. The most important records needed are labwork, ultrasound reports, and prenatal visits. If you have had a prior cesarean, we also need your surgical report for each cesarean.
3. Complete the consultation log we send you and return it to us at email@example.com.
4. Watch the video tour of the birth center with your partner and/or support people.
5. Download the free Zoom app onto your smartphone or computer.
6. At your appointed time, login to the Zoom call using the meeting ID: 423 687 906.
You'll speak with one of our midwives electronically. We will determine your risk status and answer all your questions at that time.
7. If we tell you that you are a good candidate for transfer of care and you decide to hire us, go to the New Clients page to initiate your electronic chart. We recommend you do this from a smartphone or tablet so that you can also complete all our documents electronically in the Mobile Midwife EHR app.
That's it! If you have any questions about the process, please call our office at 832-777-0291.

My wife and I had our first and only natural delivery here. It was a wonderful experience that I only wish we had done with our others! Ashley and her staff were fantastic from prenatal through delivery. We had an on-call delivery in the wee morning hours with Dawn, who was just wonderful.
I truly felt like they cared about the well being of my wife and our daughter. I am a person with a lot of questions, and I was skeptical at first by nature. Ashley answered every single question professionally, and with a tone of education and empowerment to the parents. I felt informed about everything that transpired.
I can't say thank you enough for providing such a great environment and supportive environment. It's a memory I will never forget.

Ashley and her staff were wonderful during my pregnancy and postpartum visits. I had had an unmediated hospital birth before, and was looking forward to an unmedicated birth center or home birth. After several miscarriages, my confidence and trust in the birth process was low, but I always knew Ashley and her team were in my corner, and would support me no matter what happened. I looked forward to every visit (as did my husband and young son!). We were treated like family, and I'm so glad my son was able to see how positive and natural a healthy pregnancy and birth can be. All of our questions were answered with evidence-based information, and we were never pressured to make specific choices. We were allowed the freedom and space to decide what was best for our family, which brought us closer together. Our baby girl was born within minutes of Ashley arriving to our home, and I can never thank Ashley, Jolene (student), and Karla enough for all the support, laughter, and kindness we received. They are all truly a blessing to not only our family, but countless others through the selfless work they do to promote and provide loving care to mothers, their babies, and their surrounding family members.

I had an amazing VBAC experience here with Midwife Ashley and her staff. They go above and beyond to serve both mommy and baby. The entire staff is highly trained and knowledgeable and the birthing rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend having all your babies here.
