The doulas listed on this page have agreed to offer a $100 discount for birth services or $5/hour discount for postpartum services to Wellspring clients. This discount is off their regular fee, which varies from one doula to another. Please mention that you are a Wellspring client when first contacting the doula listed below. Wellspring does not contract with these doulas, nor do we attest to their skills and abilities as a doula. Please interview any potential doulas as well as research testimonials and reviews. Do not contact Wellspring to secure a doula - this is a referral list - you must contact the doulas directly.

Bio: I am a homeschooling mom of 3 young children, and I have had a passion for pregnancy and childbirth for as long as I can remember. An unexpected turn in my first pregnancy fueled the fire to educate and empower other expecting couples to pursue the birth they desire. I have trained through Tiny Love Doulas and am now a student midwife with the Association of Texas Midwives. I assist families in the greater Houston area with labor support and postpartum services.

Bio: I'm Terhea P. Harris, owner and birth doula of Lovely Lavender Lady Doula Services. I'm the wife of a patient, loving husband for ten years and the mother of three wonderful sons. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, but deemed a Houstonian, I am currently serving birthing mothers in and between both cities. About two years ago, we decided I will be a stay at home mother with our third son on the way and just recently became a homeschooling mother. In this moment in space and time, I am a student of life, lover of the universe, a dreamer and working on creating the calm.
I have learned the art of loving and nurturing myself first in order to do the same for others. I decided to become a labor supporter/birth worker when it was suggested to me from a family member and the previous conversations with mothers regarding unpleasant birth experiences. Mothers deserve to have continuous support on their birthing journey and should have a doula when they need one. Lovely Lavender Lady would love to be a part of your birthing miracle!

Bio: I am a labor doula certified through Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association (CAPPA). I have been pursuing my calling into a life of birthwork since 2010 through self study and volunteer involvement. I began attending births as a labor doula in August 2015. I attend births in hospitals, home, and birth centers.
As a mom of five children, I have a unique ability to empathize and be present with my clients. My own births have run the spectrum from unplanned cesarean to hospital VBAC with epidural to home birth.
I saw a graphic recently that said "You've got this. I've got you." I think that really sums up my heart. I believe you already have within you the power to have a positive birth. I am there to walk with you through it, to encourage when things get hard, to hold you up when you think you are going to fall, and to see you through the struggles and into the victory. I am passionate about birth and compassionate toward women. This is what makes my heart sing. This is the very work I was created for.

Bio: I am really awesome. I have a couple kids, a supportive husband, and a lot of experience breastfeeding. I had my own babies in a birth center, which inspired me to become a doula and help other moms to have a fulfilling experience like I did. I believe in the power of a woman's body to birth her baby. I trained at Doulas R Us in 2016 and have attended over 10 births since training, learning something new at each one. Give me a call to arrange a free consultation and review of your birth plan.
